Romanticism in literature can be described by Keats’s famous line, ‘Truth is Beauty and Beauty is Truth” The German poet Friedrich Schlegel had defined Romanticism as "literature depicting emotional matter in an imaginative form." Victor Hugo had phrased it as "liberalism in literature". Imagination, emotion, and freedom are the focal points of romanticism. The characteristics of the literature of romanticism includes subjectivity and an emphasis on individualism; spontaneity; the beliefs that imagination is superior to reason and devotion to beauty; freedom from rules; solitary life rather than life in society; love of and worship of nature; and fascination with the past. Romanticism as an aesthetic attitude believes on emotion over reason; sensory experience before intellect; imagination as a road to transcendental experience and spiritual truth. Whereas Enlightenment thinkers value logic, reason, and rationality, Romantics value emotion, passion, and individuality. “Rejecting the ordered rationality of the Enlightenment as mechanical, impersonal, and artificial, the Romantics turned to the emotional directness of personal experience and to the boundlessness of individual imagination and aspiration”.

The Romantic writers, especially the poets, used to believe all people, regardless of wealth or social class should be able to appreciate art and literature, and artists should create art or literature accessible to everyone. The movement emphasized intense emotion as an authentic source of aesthetic experience. Romanticism assigned a high value to the achievements of "heroic" individualists and artists, whose examples, it maintained, would raise the quality of society. It also promoted the individual imagination as a critical authority allowed of freedom from classical notions of form in art. Romanticism, then, can best be described as a large network of sometimes competing philosophies, agendas, and points of interest. In a broader sense, Romanticism can be conceived as an adjective which is applicable to the literature of virtually any time period. So we can say, anything from the Homeric epics to modern time novels can bear the stamp of Romanticism. First and foremost, Romanticism is concerned with the individual more than with society. The individual consciousness and especially the individual imagination are especially fascinating for the Romantics.

So within the sphere of our limited capacity, this month we are presenting a special issue of “Our Poetry Archive” featuring romantic poems of this time. Thirty six poets around the world have contributed with their literary works in this collection of ‘Romantic Poems’. And we hope our readers will like this collection more than the previous ones!

As usual we invite poets around the world to participate in this journey of poetical exploration with their poems! Our address is <ourpoetryarcive@gmail.com>  Our gratitude to all the contributors of this issue  and benefactors, supporters and friends.

 “COSMOGONIC LOVE

If your star and my star accidentally aligned in their intertwining paths,
It's not their fault that you and I suddenly collide
Collide in these cosmic hues of forbidden territory,
A million of eons away, we were two kindred souls who were destined to meet
In a world of oblivion where imperfection is dreaded,
Though we must love one another's imperfections to recognize it is really True Love...
Beyond time and space, beyond universes, beyond the limit of light years
You and I were destined to cross each other’s galaxies
A billions constellations will guide you on your way to me
For the King and Queen of this Cosmogonic Love to finally meet.

OPALESCENT OUTFLOWS

It’s 15th of the calendar
Calling a reservation, dine in for two
At the best French cuisine
Had the best Amanti Vino sip
Eiffel couldn’t explain the towering excitement
From celebrating nerves
Temptations of the whirling trumpets
From Tibetan to Paris waterspout
It showers eerily, knocking crazy
The cackles from the windows, then towards
The witnessing cold-wither-proof rooftop
Invite his body to wrap me
All around
And the pulling force exaggerates
Bed stories filling all the corners of the room
‘twas a game of murmurs , beats and bites
Then on and on, naked surrealism
Yelling trajectory of giggles
The monsoon blessed the ecstasy
The would be another Harlequin’s whispers
Of sweet nothings
On a rainy day,
An exclaimed anniversary.

"I WISH I DID NOT LOVE YOU SO MUCH..."

She wanted to forget their echo of safe silence,
She thought--- love is easy to kill,
She lied to herself...
 While she loved even more...
How possible to cut a branch of love
When roots of tree within endlessly forever ?
Cheap fights, needless epithets came already into an ash,
but white birds come back too often and spirit of oneness persists,
For they "still have Paris" and eternity awaiting...
"As time goes by..."

LAPIS LAZAU

Come here!
Yes, now all of a sudden!
Sit here in front of me!
Don't move!
Look what I've got!
Do you see my magical stone?
As if it came straight out
of the Arabian Nights

Deep opaque blue
with golden inclusions
like stars that shine
in the dark sky
Kings jewel
in Persia and Egypt
a gem inspires for centuries
a stone with a fabulous history

Harmony's and friendship's symbol
the stone of truth
It helps the bearer
to be authentic
and to declare
his opinion openly
It often oxidized
but doesn't matter
turns into a gray
completely insignificant
and its glow goes away
but look how I
polished it gently
it shines again
each of its molecules shimmers

They say and I felt it
that it exhales a fragrance
as you erase by cutting
its small edges and scratches
if you are an experienced cutter
you can say
as strong is its aroma
the more intense is
its azure color

Come in front of me
I have a myriad reasons
to become
your healer tonight
I will rub it
over your head
and pass it upon your heart
and with a gold chain
I will make you wear it
I will hang it
over your chest
whispering the right spell
and I am sure
that it will bring you back
the courage that you need
to shine the light
I know that is hiding
inside your dazzling being

So you will be yourself
and no one else
Nobody will be able
your Sun to shade
You won't be afraid
your inner blue river
to unleash

IMMORTALS

From thee to thine
I give you mine,
This heart, thy soul
Upon the milky way of
Morning dew over a new day
Shine on
Into boundless sprockets of
Infinity with me
Never stop, stay
In mine and yours
Evermore ours
Among the countless
Stars
We are immortal, standing
Above the world
Like monoliths deployed
Forever mysterious, as though
To mortals engraved to pages
Of a life so serious
Let's run free
Let's tear from our minds
..,our hearts
And tear our hearts from
Our minds

DISTANCE

I love you more than the night sky
I love you more than the morning sun
I love you more than all of time ...
I love you second to none

As I write these words of love
It's to the stars I speak to thee
Because through all of time and distance
It's only you I wish to see

But to see you is impossible
For distance is my fate
So to the stars and sun of day
I speak to them and seek to wait

A PALE MOON’S LIGHT

Can you see us
shining this night

Dancing across
those stars in the
pale moon's beautiful
light

We are soaring high

Can you see those
ballroom dresses sway
to the music

In that time the world
said goodnight

Stars
our stepping stones
the staircase of life

We are being taken
on a Journey across
the world this night

Feel the beauty as we
dance to the moonlights
rhythm Our world relights

Starlight journeys

A breath of life,

PRACTICING LOVE WORDS…
...I could build new worlds
I am so in love
I could be the rain penetrating steel surfaces
I am so in love
I could be the silence floating over a smoking volcano
I am so in love
I could melt myself like a candle
I am so in love
my mouth has no words
my dried out tongue faints to pronounce them
please stare into my feverish eyes
feed yourself with the lava
that my love is...
I am so in love...I could not be alive anymore

ONLY FOR YOU

I meet you
in my dream rain
and yearn for
your wet lips
that open
your mouth
full of longing
moans of passion
taste love
in the game
I receive you
in my words
they write pure
in golden curl letters
only for you

introspection...

i must seek the still hours of the night
when all alone i reach for the sweet
tender memories of days that have gone
and left heavy imprints behind.

i grasp the depth of their meanings
only to feel a sudden need for your presence
but there is no more you
to see and hold.

where now are the glances we
used to see in each others' eyes
and the words of love aired at the break of dawn
or on a misty midnight?

a sad refrain is all that is left for reminiscing.
gone too is the ecstasy of a love,
young love which was once hours,
it vanished with longings and regrets.

in solitude i must live
to be neat you in my thoughts
perhaps to hope for another love
but could there be another you?

if the unhurried years shall find me alone
it will still be you that i love
as i loved you then and and still
love you now.

COLOR OF THE NIGHT

I feel your fingers caressing my back.
Gently playing upon my bare skin.
I bite my lips as you planted your kiss on my shoulder. Moving on down below,
I wait with anticipation for what to come next.

Your hot breath on my neck as you move closer and brushing my hair.
I breathe in your scent and I couldn't refuse to your touch. And so I turn myself, facing you and I give you a kiss. Mesmerizing with your beautiful eyes,
I feel like I'm flying high above.
A smile carved upon your face and again you kiss me.
Only this time with a
long passionate kiss.

I let your hands exploring my naked body to discover the secret within.
And you let me to unveil the mask of your manhood. Together, we surrender to each other's touch.
We break the silent of the night with our symphony of desire. As the moon witnessing our passion and willing to bask our skin with the moonlight.

I hold on to you to navigate our sails in this journey of pleasure.
My eyes show no fear for I have faith in you to lead me to the island of paradise.
A place where we would be stranded after a long sail filled with ecstacy.
And here we are, finally reached the destination of our dreams.

Your head on my breasts, as you're gasping for air.
And I brush your hair softly, consoling the excitement within. Then you look into my eyes and said that you love me.
I smile letting you know that I love you too.
Comes to my surprise when you whisper to my ears,
" Would you be my queen? ".
Frozen a little I then nod my head with a smile and tears of joy rolling on my face for this love story between you and me will finally be sealed with a wedding vow.
