GEORGIANA-LAURA GHEORGHE

GEORGIANA-LAURA GHEORGHE

Why, Father?

Why, Father
Do men sink into darkness
Preferring hate instead of love,
Lies instead of truth?

What will happen, Father
With the cries of help that are ignored,
With the tears that are not dried up from the cheeks
And the massive destructions?

Only You have the answer to these questions,
We fervently pray to You to heal our spiritual and physical wounds,
To lift the fog from our mind
And to show us the right way.

Our Language

Our language, pleasant as a nightingale’s song,
Gentle as mother’s voice, it fills our heart with joy.
The ancestors’ language that encourages us in battle
And a part of every Romanian’s identity.

Dragons

Dive into the ocean sometimes to catch fish,
Roar to those who set foot on their territory,
Are symbolic in cultures all around the world,
Guardians of holy places,
Often considered old souls that are wise beyond the years,
Nice to people, who earn their trust,
Shield their friends in case of attacks.
