RAJASHREE MOHAPATRA

Love Waves

A silent feeling ...

Just like the sacred scriptures

Of old papyrus...

Or like the pages of a book of dead ...

Silently but widely scatters

In the vast emptiness

In an unperturbed  silence.

Let us not miss them

They fire billions of neurons

In your brain Which are non other than

The love waves

Generated in the core of your

Heart where wisdom awaits

With a calm look for certain loving eyes .

Conceited Vision

Where ever  I go ,

In  what ever direction

My doubt-stricken eyes fail to reach

The end even through imagination.

The curve of rainbow

In the wide azured sky

Appears as if a master painter's paint

The passionate waves strike hard

With terrible innocence to write

Memoirs of love with blue

I pass through infinite droplets of time

But fail to make out the directions

Through imprinted lines

I roam at random looking for

Peace and  tranquility

In a dark hanging painting

Of the midnight sky .

Temporary

Everything appears temporary here

Either in the spirit of loss or gain,

Or even in that of life or pain

A separation inflicts agony and fear.

What is possessed today

May not be there tomorrow

And what is lost now may not be

Achieved even years after.

Life is but a conjunction

Of functional entities

That plunges in from birth to death

It is thus  just not a dream to live for good

Yet to fight against evils

it provides strength.

Yes of course,

Everything is temporary here

As we sail along steadily

In an unsteady but meandering river

Against all  violent convulsions

between life and death

As because rise and fall are natural ,

In this paradise of earth.
