AGATA LINEK : Comes from Stalowa Wola (Poland). A poet, prose writer, animator of culture, editor of volumes, reviewer of poetry, drama critic, copywriter. Temporarily, an academic teacher of literature at the University of the Third Age. A holder of four degrees at the Jagiellonian University, where she is currently writing her PhD. An originator and administrator of the site “Culture in Stalowa Wola and Surroundings”. A member of the Literary Group „Phoenix”, the Literary Association “Witryna” (where she is a secretary), the Polish Authors Association and the Rzeszów Association of Polish Writers. She has won numerous national and international poetry and prose competitions. She made her debut in 2002 in national bi-weekly Victor in the literary column “Poems’ Time” edited by Ludwik Janion. She published in local and nationwide press (recently in Głos Tyczyna, Lamelli, Pro Arte), poetic anthologies (recently in PAA international occasional anthology “You Love for Nothing” and “Wild Garden”), on emultipoetry.eu portal and beyond the Polish borders in the United States of America, Ukraine, Slovakia, and Australia. Her poems were translated into Slovak, English, and Russian. They were also presented by Beata Zarembianka in the programme “Word” of Polish Radio Rzeszów. In 2010 and 2015 she was nominated to the Award of Stalowa Wola County Head Official in the category Animator of Culture for her activity in the sphere of culture and popularization of her home town in Cracow. She published four poetry collections: “Are You an Elf?” (2006, the Award of Rzeszów Association of Polish Writers for Podkarpackie Province Debut), “Laugh of a Night Butterfly” (2010), “Singing of a Dolphin” (2012, nominated to “Gałązka Sosny” Stalowa Wola City Literary Award) and “Whisper of Puma” (2015, Polish and English versions, “Gałązka Sosny” Award, nominated to J. Zieliński “Złota Róża” Award and to K.I. Gałczyński “Orfeusz” Poetic Award).
