ELIZA SEGIET

ELIZA SEGIET

ROMEO

On the boundless ocean of love,
where the nightingales sang at dawn,
still you can hear voiceless words,
ineffable thoughts.

Silence, quiet,
which for centuries pulsate
and the frayed mark on the monument.
On the boundless ocean of the world
– the remaining feeling.
Maybe somewhere,
at a crossroad,
where the leaves tremble alone
the longed for Romeo
– is still waiting.

TEMPTATION

Marked by infirmity
she sates with the light of the body’s memory.
Only the imitation of dance
releases apparent happiness.

The world tempts with itself,
and for her it's hard to beat the levels.
At the exhibition
she takes a look at the new collections of shoes.

Only bare,
tireless pigeons
dance
around the trapped life.

APPLE

Long, long ago, before the ages
in the arms of the sinful hand
the succulent apple lead into temptation.
Today –
nibbled –
it arouses desire.
