Unity in Nature's Diversity 

 

Nature is full of diversity,

Yet, one cannot fail to watch,

The inherent unity in diversity,

Seven different colours of red, 

Orange, yellow, green, blue,

Indigo and violet combine together 

And the result is one white colour.

 

At dawn and dusk, a huge display 

Of hues and colours, only say,

Planetary motions have the same mission,

To keep moving for good, not to stay.

 

Innumerable stars, planets, galaxies,

Having different natures, compositions, 

However, following the same cosmic laws,

While moving in different paths, orientations.

 

Many rivers have origins in the same mountain-chains,

Running in different directions through hilly tracks and plains,

Yet, they have a common destination,

Usually, a sea or an ocean.

 

Seven notes of music, make a beautiful song,

Six seasons in our country provide a climate viable, strong,

Everything seems perfectly aligned, in unison,

Irrespective of race, colour, language, religion,

After all, we are one as human being, 

May be living at different locations. 

 

True Indian Identity

Unity in Diversity,

Is India's true identity,

As recognised by the world,

High in the sky the Tricolour unfurled.

 

The orange, white and green horizontal strips,

A blue wheel, with 22 spokes in the middle speaks,

Just one thing, colours may have different interpretations,

But they all represent unity in diversity

of our nation.

 

The heights of the Himalayas,

The depth of the Indian ocean,

The Gangetic plains, the Vindhyachal range,

Forests, desert, plateau, climatic change,

People, here, speak different languages,

Still have a common ancestry, cultural root, bondage.

Dress, customs, food may have variations,

Underlying spirit of unity, 

Integrity, solidarity and loyalty,

That is what makes this great nation.
