IF LOVE WAS A GLORY

Pray, if Love was sincere
If Love was true
If Love was genuine
If Love was as it should be
Selfless
Requiring not, from us, a total surrender
Requiring not, from us, the immolation of our souls
Requiring not, from us, the resignation of our individuality
Why
If Love was sincere
Would we not have indulged in it
Celebrating it
Keeping it alive
Allowing it to bloom and thrive
To weave its own powerful net
To shed off its cocoon and
To fly, everywhere, enjoying itself
And the many waves of life!

Yet,
Love is tainted with the drops of evil
Love has been infected with corruption
Love, once so pure and innocent
Love, evil and sinful
Requires the loss of chastity!
More, Love
Uses and abuses, as long as it desires
Then, when its flames are doused
Love,
Discards and rejects!

Pray
Love is, in itself, a glory
Love is needed to allow life to be
Yet, love, has had its heart
Diseased and maimed
Slaved even and chained
To the dark side of life!

So much that nowadays
None do care to glorify Love
When it shows itself in its purest
And virtuous state!

Why, of the glory of Love
Pray, do imbibe in my breath
Crave I for it
Crave I so much
That my thirst shall not be quenched till I shall meet it!

SEE ME

See me as I am
See not the sagging skin
See not the frail bones
See not the dentures
See not the wrinkles
See not the white hair
Or the bald part
See not the distended abdomen
Nor the drooping shoulders
See not my slow abilities
See me not as such
Rather
See me as I am
A child, wild and free
A child, beautiful and young
A child, whose eyes reflect the sparkle of the sun
On the waters of a clear lake
A child, whose heart yearns for loving attention
A child, who shouts out in ecstatic glee
When made a pleasant surprise
A child, with a soft side
A child, marveled by life
A child, still learning about herself
And about the Earth that she inhabits
A child, made of fireworks
Of the particles of the universe
Of innocence
And sweet laughs!
Yes,
See me, as a child
And none else!

Pray
The fate of life is well established
Youth is to remain, always, a temporal state
The best stage, yet, of each being!

Still,
Even if my body has aged,
Even if your body has aged
Know that we shall be children always inside
Children, ready to laugh and squeal
Children, ready to welcome the exalt
At each corner of the way!

ELEVATING NOTES

The soft beats of the invisible piano hit my heart
With such an intensity
That I felt myself leaving my body
And flying, flying
To where life feeds on musical notes!

Being the only human in spirit form there,
I could not help be overwhelmed by the beauty of it
Pray, was it the land of the Lord?
So glittery, so sparkling was the whole surrounding
So calm, so green, so peaceful!

Everything seemed immersed in musical notes
From the lions to the Apollos
None cared to seek selfishly
None cared to satisfy their lusty needs
All just danced, eyes closed
Immersed in the depth of the notes
As if they wanted to be the rhythms
Or even the unseen musician!

As for me, I remained there, rooted, transfixed
Letting myself be swallowed in the midst of the bliss
Pray,
On Earth,
Life is a torture,
Life, shall remain a mystery
Programmed have we been,
To act as we deem
To perform as we do
Why should we let ourselves be stressed
Overloaded and overworked
Earth is just part of the way
Someday, somehow,
The land of notes and musical beats
Shall be where we shall set our luggage down!

I forced myself to deafen myself
Stopped the music
And when I closed my eyes
I could not help but smile
Smile at life, smile at everyone
Pray,
I shall help the world hear those notes
Those notes which will allow them to smile, like me!
