Unattainable
In the depths of the night, a star whispers,
hiding a truth too vast for the mind to hold.
Dreams weave together like a tapestry,
secrets murmured to the sky.
The dream is a foggy mirror,
with souls and shadows in a silent dance.
Perhaps it hides answers I fear to hear,
or a truth I never dared to face.
Fugitives In Dreams
Childhood dreams,
like white doves,
fly across the sky of innocence.
Yet, they lose their way
amid the smoke of wars.
With wings pierced by bullets,
every child’s dream crashes to the ground.
Sorrow nests in children’s eyes,
and the breath of tomorrow feels uncertain.
Children lift their hands to the heavens,
hoping to grasp the stars,
but they hold swords and stones instead,
and a deathly silence muffles their songs.
No longer do they play joyfully
in the gardens of their fairy tales.
Hope is buried in the ruins,
while horror sneers on shattered streets.
Their eyes no longer see the stars,
only the wreckage of souls and bodies,
and the children’s heart mourns
the unattainable dream of peace.
Somewhere deep within their soul,
like a hidden flame,
the dream flickers softly,
waiting, even if it takes time,
to bring forth a smile.
