Golden Hope
When I release the night’s abstinence,
Put thoughts to sleep…
In dawn spaces explore
Shift boundaries, make words balance into poetry…
I capture again and again
Luminous light and shadow connections,
In intimate and subtle intersections of time
The mirrors of my eyes
delicately gleam and absorb details.
I’m trapped deliciously in listening,
To the crucible beats of a waking world
In me is watchfulness.
From the unseen and unheard
I knit delicately…
Reinvigorating a life of wonder
Delighting in a new day…
In an inner innate solitariness
A rosy fresh day of hope
embraced in a beaten sheen of gold.
Forgotten Corners
That walk
On autumn leaves
Warm fingers entwined
Orange with emotions,
Layers of many forgotten,
Disintegrating shades of dreams
Shivering
In the approaching winter breeze
Fragments of songs and words
Touched each leaf
They fell to the earth
Breaking a million heartbeats.
