The Dream

My bridges are enchanted,

Colored with the dithyramb of songs.

Above the sorrow, softly it rises,

A dream that must not be dreamt.

Perhaps you, like me, dreamed,

Embracing the colorful pillow of wishes.

In your unknown thoughts,

My solitude was the only bed.

The distances I no longer know how to comprehend,

Carried by the indestructible air,

Once known to the heart,

A flash of lightning above the clouds.

A word embroidered in stone,

A bridge to a wounded soul.

A handful of emotions in flames,

The dance of unrest begins.

I do not know how to gather the pain,

To hurl it into the canyons.

To embrace the river strongly,

And pull my dream onto the shore.

Holy Tears

The dream was too painful,

Until the awakening, disbelief, and quiet tears.

I dreamt of the Great Man,

And in my sleep, Merciful Saint John whispered—

Do not wake, my sorrow, stronger than prayer.

He wept, and his cry I still hear,

The pain kills, it slays, and extinguishes life.

This morning I will not cry or lament,

Mother, he will stop, remain under the stars,

He will save us with holy tears!

Awakening, departure to the earth, mourning the dawn,

The day does not encourage... the Blessed will forgive,

For I cannot fight the sorrow.

You left without a sign,

Like a candle, on your grave I will swiftly—

DUŠKA KONTIĆ

DUŠKA KONTIĆ was born in Zenica in 1958. She finished primary and secondary school in Nikšić. She graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy in Nikšić at the department of Serbo-Croatian language and Yugoslav literature. He has been writing since childhood. He is a member of the "Mirko Banjević" Literary Association from Nikšić, within which he published the collection of poetry "Nemirni smiraj". She is also a member of the International Association of Literary Creators and Artists "Nekazano" from Bar and the Association of Writers and Artists "Zenit" from Podgorica, with which she has a successful synergy. About fifty collections and anthologies from the region adorn the shelves of her library, as well as many diplomas, letters of thanks and certificates. Three anthologies emerged from the collaboration with Tunisia, and she is represented in the Russian anthology Hyperpoem, which is in the Guinness Book of Records. .For two years in a row, he is the winner of the "Citta del galeteo" award for the excellence of foreign authors from Italy within the Verbumlandiart organization, whose patron is the president of the city of Rome. From cooperation with Brazil, Philippines, Japan, India, Italy, Peru, USA, she is also represented in anthologies sold on the Amazon platform. He lives in Nikšić, Montenegro.
