ANDREW KEVIN ALPIN

ANDREW KEVIN ALPIN

THY WILL BE DONE

Thy will be done
that’s what you teach
us to say
but with it if comes
such agony and pain
then what is there to gain
from this humble surrender
I wished no cross
on an unrepenting soul
like me, when prayers profound
make you judge unworthy
to be answered
Then is my right forfeit
Till my grace is won
Till I truly say
Thy will be done

VESPERS

The clouds they covered a blushing sun
The hills and mountains they merged as one
The romance of dusk then faded light
Ever so softly into the night

WILD FLOWERS

Wild flowers can never be
as pretty as  I have seen
dancing white orchids
in forest glade and strawberry
strewn pathways hiding over
unexplored hillside
moments like these made life
seem a dream
Will I ever see these once more?
perhaps,  I will never know
But yet the peace of these
moments come back to me
each time I sit alone in pain
And I see wild flowers again
