ASOKE KUMAR MITRA

ASOKE KUMAR MITRA

Rendezvous In The Rain…

In a moment of joy and sorrow

A spider has come to stay with us, weaving cobwebs

In the core of our hearts

Warm lips of winter

The wind playing with the candle

You are a fantasy

A forgotten melody

Breathless song

Spider is weaving cobwebs

Trapped our hearts

Left skeleton behind

Tonight, twinkling stars and half moon

Invite us for a never before rendezvous

As strangers, as soul mates

No looking behind

Our shadows walked carefully apart…

They

They met on a mountain top

They did not know the loneliness

Fire of love

A winter night

Hope and wonder

Transparent moon away in the sky

They dream together

Glitter in their veins,

Midnight whispers

A too-short love

Winter night with a graceful ache

Empty corridors of winter

They have gone away

IF You

Nights here are without dream

You offer roses distilled

From your blood

This evening passionately wipes the shadow

The salty taste of tears

Your heart plays softly

Each night

You dump silently

The grief in your lips

Time stood still

You smiled and whispered

Bounced up into spring of dream

You a silent language of the wind
