NGOZI OLIVIA OSUOHA
WE GIVE YOU MEN
We are calm
With our balm,
We are soft
And very swift
But we withdraw
When the law
Is too raw.
We are not rude
But we can be crude
And even go nude
For Jude
Our real dude.
When we brag
They say we nag,
When we tag
They say we sag,
But when we bag
They forget we wag.
When we sweat
We become great,
In our gown
And brown crown
We fly down the town.
We are women,
When the semen
Prunes our hymen
We give them men.
OUR POETRY ARCHIVE
At the eleventh hour
When everything goes sour
There is a power
That can shower
Rains on your flower.
A bit of mockery
At the bakery,
A bunch of flattery
At the gallery,
A whole diary
All, make up poetry.
When you cannot thrive
Despite the strive
Remember the hive,
It must not be five
Before you archive.
THE EMPRESSES THAT RULE THE INK
The poetesses
Who always think
The prophetesses
Who never sink,
The princesses
Who wear pink,
The priestesses
Who never drink.
The duchesses
That do not stink,
The deaconesses
That also link
The actresses
Who do wink
The lionesses
That never blink.
The tigresses
That never shrink,
The empresses
That rule the ink.
