The Ship Of My Dreams
The ship of my
dreams, glides
over the sea
currents
That Scylla and
Charybdis leave behind!
My Ithaca is a
transparent boat!
No one has seen
her....
No one has met
her...
But I am waiting
for her, in case she reveals herself to me!
To entrust her
with my letters,
hermetically
sealed in a bottle
To travel them
to the Infinite Land
Where the souls
of poets stoically wait
To save the fare
for their journey!
And somehow,
along the roads,
their finale
will be written
Leaving behind
them their best poem....
What they had
not managed to write,
for the children
who will be born with new ideas!
Moments....
Moments that run
and get lost...Imagine!
Leaving in their
path the mark
of a repetition,
that opens a rift
to be filled
with the breaths of those who remain.
In the
iron-fenced fields,
the dreams live
and reside, the world's
frugal and
temporary efforts. The soldiers of our life:
Incomplete
circles to sustain time.
And our days,
are measured by the dram
as our hair
slowly turns white!
Gossiping a
little in our minds:
Roots that
rooted our blood to drink!
The sunbeams, in
domes, forgotten,
Heavenly...that
no eye can see
Only lightning
carves their dome
In a writing
that has not yet been read!
And somehow,
like this, we live
our greatest
true illusion,
freed from its
meaning!...
And somehow,
like this,
comes the death
of moments
and the great
injustice of living
as if
we were never
going to die......
MARIA KOLOVOU
ROUMELIOTI
MARIA KOLOVOU – ROUMELIOTI‧ writer, poet, visual artist and long-distance runner-marathon runner. She was born in a small rural village of Greece, called Βouliagmeni. From a young age she has been involved in painting and writing. She is member of literary magazines, International Society of Greek Writers and Artists, Union of Greek Writers, Society of Writers of Southwest Greece, Hellenic-Australian Association of Melbourne, Naturist Association and Artists Association of Patras. Samples of her writing and visual work are published on her personal blog: “ADYTES DIADROMES”in literary magazines and Internet Pages. Her literary and visual works have received honours, praises, medals and prizes. Many of her works have been included in collective anthologies, literary magazines, newspapers, Literary Magazine «PRIMELORE Writer’s heaven», In the pages of the printed edition of Al-Nile and the magazine Al-Furat, which is published in Egypt, Daily English Newspaper from Srinagar Jammu and Kashmir «LITSTREAM»…. She has combined all her hobbies together and continues her creative path with consecutive awards and distinctions in all the fields. In 2024 she received an Honorary Distinction for her participation in the 15th Symposium of Practical Philosophy and in November of the same year she was awarded at a special event, along with 10 other women, receiving an honorary medal for her contribution to Culture and the Arts from the D. E. E. L - International Society of Greek Writers and Artists and the representative of the Global Federation of Leadership and High Intelligence Mexico- Greece. Also, some of her poems have been set to music and others have been translated into English, Albanian, Arabic and Hindi. Published works: The poetry collections: «THE ROSSES OF TIME», «ALL NIGHTS», «HEARTBREAKS» and «FIRE MIND» Τhe novel: «ALFES», the short stories collection: «THE GOLD OF MY LAND» and the prose collection: «IN THE CATACOMBI OF THE FLESH.
