RACISM
(Journey in Unity)
Our world revolves negative emotion
Rotating axis of hate n’ disgust
Surging an outward unkind commotion
Prejudice of race; blackened
earthly lust
Draping its dark cloud over all
mankind.
Can a light be perceived at
tunnel’s end?
Where’s appreciation’s voice spoken
kind-?
Words and action; inner compassion
blend
Ending cycled views, resulting some
blind
From knowledge n’ understanding
truth
Redirecting feelings, mankind can
find
Precious treasure within earth’s
hues.
Seek to find each glimmering inner
light
In which all may portray in given
sight
Let us journey in peace; unity’s
plight.

MELODY OF MAN
Darken clouds loom; Over, inward,
throughout
Hearts of mankind; no understanding
found
Where ignorance pollutes its ugly
shout
Hate abounds; smothering with a
black shroud
Where’s appreciation in colored
hues-?
Which forms- beautiful tapestry of
man?
Missed perception of symphony’s
fine tunes
Playing its harmonious music, Can
Fill our world with blind
misconceptions.
Open eyes which see beyond what is
learned
Listen, variant tones- create
connections
Orchestrating an unseen light that
burns
Creation’s light of abounding
beauty
Red, yellow, black and white, forms
all mankind
Soul beats a unified heart; life’s
bounty
Feel its music, penetrating the
mind
Deep within the soul, replace hate
with love,
Life is precious; Each playing its
own tune
Form one symphony, which will soar
above
Uniting mankind n’ its tapestry’s
hues.

UNITY; UNDER THE SUN
As two doves, we shall become one
spirit
Upon eagle’s wings we shall soar
Until our souls’ find rest and
peace.
Repose of solitude,
In the bond of unity
Where grace abounds.
Unfailing love
Where true faith is found
Within the hearts of mankind.
Until that time, we stand
Within fields of green, breathing
in deep
The winds blowing from east to
west;
The breeze that flows its inner
connection.
A smile appears, as the sun
illuminates
Each face searching for warmth
Finding unity’s connection meant
for every man
Under the sun.
