MICHELA ZANARELLA

MICHELA ZANARELLA

1

It is the experience of silence

that teaches the eyes

to talk about love.

The gaze on the lips

and learn to recognize language

of the soul that marches heart-beating

under the sun

climbing on tiptoe

towards a time

that is going to fall in love

of the truths pronounced from the sky.

2

The dust is back to raise memories

or better to make noise for the rooms.

The things that have remained do not scare me

shield your absence

they know the love I have for you

it is not a remote memory on the shelf

rather it is almost next to a gesture of respect

to the sky

that now has you completely in its clouds

beyond the light

in that rising and falling of the sun

that shakes life to bend over the horizon.

3

I want to see the veins

resurrect from the wrong blood

soiled by the black of an earthly life

that made me slip

on the glasses of things

up to bend the skin to the ghosts

in the solitude of a time

that stole the light from me

forcing me to count

the ribs to silence.

I want to see if the hands have arrived

and learning to love pain

I can reverse the branches of the soul

and see me earth

that recommends to the sun not to miss.
