TARANA TURAN RAHIMLI

TARANA  TURAN RAHIMLI

TO BE A CHILD IN THE ARMS OF GOD

It would be better if one turns to a bee,
And settle on the flowers of the world.
When your lips tremble because of happiness,
You won’t be able to find a word.

Let your breath become dry
Because of the excitement.
When you forget the earth and the sky,
Let the great God protect you.

It would be better if you are splashed like stars,
Then to be gathered together for to be the sun.
It would be better only for a day
To be a child in the arms of God.

I AM LIKE AN UNFORGOTTEN ISLAND

I am like an unforgotten island
And you are a ship that lost its way.
I am a bit strange in this world,
And you are a bit sleepy.

My heart is the home of the longing,
These strange lands don’t smile at me.
I can recollect a tale
Which you can’t remember either.

You have come so proudly,
As if you are the sultan of my heart.
The ship that lost its way
Isn’t able to understand this island.

I AM LOOKING FOR A GRAVE
LOOKING LIKE ME

I am leaving, bless me,
Let this longing fit to my life.
I  couldn’t find the word to be said to you,
Tell a word, let it be a keepsake from us.

I am not alone, grief is also a company,
When you have nobody near you.
Even a death might be consolation
When there  is left no address to go.

I find no place ,  nor I have power to carry,
I got tired of because of my being.
In order you find me when you search for me,
I am looking for a grave looking like me.
