Feeling In The Middle
One day like any
other
you happen to
wake up
and suddenly
feel HALF.
A part of us,
suddenly
is no longer
there or perhaps
was never there
before.
Maybe it has
crumbled
and flew away
along with our
best dreams
and with our
hope.
Everything looks
leaden
and our serenity
and carefreeness
have been wiped away.
Now we feel
empty,
just as any
any person
who feels half.
Like amputated,
would like to be
able to find
the missing part
among the
emotion that will not be.
It retains only
memories
and nostalgia,
while happiness
has already flown away
like a butterfly
in flight.
Our heart now
bears the weight
of these
memories
and of this
nostalgia.
The other half
has taken it
away
the inexorable
flow
of time.
It remains in
place,
so much
loneliness and the emptiness created
by the
disillusionment of having caught traces
of shreds of what will no longer be.
Fragility
You who wear
broken wings
by life itself,
do not oppose
the bullies.
God will give
you
a new pair of
wings
And you will fly
high again.
You will carry
with you only your heart,
imbued with your
vain dreams.
