GOPAL SINHA

Sparkling Silence

Your silence was golden,

A silent indication

And sufficient proof

Of your tacit approval,

Agreement, acceptance,

Of my expression of love,

Lighting a thousand lamps,

Dreams, desires, hope, triumphs,

Sparkling in the night,

Like a fire worms' flight,

Illuminating my path,

Marriage was on the cards,

You had already said

More than the words could display,

Silent is vast, limitless,

Words have only a limited space to play,

Message already communicated,

My love has been reciprocated.

Light Behind Every Shadow

Like the floating clouds

Roaming freely in the sky

Casting its shadows over

The fields, peak of the hills,

Rivers, seas, water falls,

Buildings tall and small,

Sun emitting rays still,

Time also leaves its imprints,

And the past looming over

Present's already shrugging shoulders,

Love, friendship, betrayals,

Success, attempts, trials,

What one found and what lost,

Things those were dear most,

Mistakes that proved costly,

Opportunities missed narrowly,

All the old memories,

Pleasant and painful,

Haunt you regularly,

Lessons to be learned,

A new leaf of life to be turned,

Experiences make one wise,

There is always a source of light,

Behind every shadow,

Try, explore, meditate,

If you could find one,

It will be a great surprise.
