A Ray Of Hope

 

In times covered in dark clouds,

In which we sink deeper into despair,

There is always someone or something

That appears when the chips are down.

 

It breaks through the clouds of suffering,

Removing every piece of doubt within us

And it replaces it with new-found confidence,

To which an ounce of courage is added into the mix.

 

We get up without hesitation,

Ready to go through the new open doors,

Equipped with useful lessons and experience

And continue to work towards our goals.

 

It’s our choice to keep the hope alive,

To act wisely when life gives us the chance

To express ourselves and show our worth,

To finally shine at what we are good at.

The cool tomcat with flair

And a good soul of a knight.

 

Full of charm

Your loved ones dearly

Without deceiving them.

 

Although you’re filled with elegance,

GEORGIANA-LAURA GHEORGHE - Brăila – România. Born in a country with a wonderful history, customs, traditions and culture, she’s a sensitive soul whom considers writing as a way to express her untold feelings and opinions. She’s a translator, but creative writing is one of the many hobbies she has. She has a Master’s Degree in Translation and Interpretation at “Dunărea de Jos” University of Galaţi (Romania) and a Bachelor’s Degree in the English Language and Literature – French Language and Literature – Philology at “Spiru Haret” University of Bucharest, Faculty of Letters – Bucharest (Romania). She competed in a few national literary projects such as the online poetic show „În Lumea Copilăriei”, Parfumul Clipei, May 2022 and international literary championships such as the thirteenth edition of the “Grigore Vieru – I’m grass, I can’t be simpler than this” International Creative Writing Festival under the aegis of the International Literature and Art Academy and the “Apollon” Cultural Society of Romania in 2025 etc. She won Third Prize at the “Homage to Women” Poetry Contest organized by the Romanian Writers’ League, the “Ioan Slavici” Office Arad, founded by Mirela Minuța Alexa, March 2025 etc. She published poetry in various national and international literary magazines and anthologies, and launched three bilingual poetry books: “Philosophical Poems” on December 23rd, 2022, “The Chest of Life” on 2021 which is the second edition of “What is life?” that was published on September 2019. She’s a member of the Romanian Writers’ Society from January 28th, 2025 and of ARTLIT - Asociația Română a Traducătorilor Literari from February 15th, 2022 and of the World Literature Academy that is under the aegis of the Romanian Cultural Centre in London from October 20th, 2020. Other than creative writing, she likes to listen to music mostly classical, instrumental and soundtracks, travel and navigate on the Internet.
