Universe Creation
Scientists
theorized that almost four and a half billion years ago,
Swirling gas and
dust gravitated to form the planetary system.
Celestial bodies
were formed, and Earth was the third planet from the Sun.
But what does
Scripture say about how this was done?
In the
beginning, God created the Universe.
The earth was
void, dark, and formless.
HE created Light
and called the light Day.
He called the
darkness Night; He did this on the first Day.
God then made
the sky to separate Heaven and Earth.
It was the
second day of His great work.
Above the sky is
called Heaven, where He lives.
The dry land
below the sky, He called Earth,
God commanded
the earth to grow grass, herbs, and fruit trees.
That was the
third day, but more was yet to come on the fourth day.
In the firmament
or sky, for signs, and seasons, God created lights.
The Sun to rule
the day, and the Moon and Stars to rule the night.
On the fifth
day, He created fish, whales, and sea mammals.
He also created
fowl and birds to fly over the land.
God blessed them
to be fruitful, to multiply, and fill the sea and land.
God’s work was
not yet done, as he had more important work at hand.
On the sixth
day, God created beasts of every kind,
But His master
plan was to create humankind.
From the dust of
the ground, God created Adam, the first human.
God also created
Eve from Adam’s rib to be his companion.
Adam and Eve
were privileged to live in God’s Garden of Eden.
He told them,
‘Be fruitful, multiply, fill the land, and obey My commands.’
God rested on
the seventh day after He created the world.
God’s Creation
was awesome and magnificent to behold.
As a result of
the work of the Creator’s mighty hands,
The existence of
animals, sea creatures, and humans began.
When Adam and
Eve disobeyed His commands,
God banished
them from His Kingdom to dwell on Earth’s lands.
