THE THEORY OF MAN
I wake up
today
And ask,
What is the science of man?
What is the landscape of his moral
Thoughts from where the integrity
Of his being lies?
To reduce man to his senses
As the foundation of ideas
Is to deny the existence
Of transmutation of the elements,
That life ends and his fullness
Is finite and divisible.
Have we not seen
That life does not end
But merely changes?
And so man,
And the matrix
Of the complexities of his ideas
Upon which the rebirth of
Energies that compose him
Merely transform from
Their completion back to
Their elemental purity?
There is man as humanity
Adhering to the ideals
Of his wisdom and cause
And there is man as vice
Corrupting the essence
Of what is.
And ask,
What is the science of man?
What is the landscape of his moral
Thoughts from where the integrity
Of his being lies?
To reduce man to his senses
As the foundation of ideas
Is to deny the existence
Of transmutation of the elements,
That life ends and his fullness
Is finite and divisible.
Have we not seen
