SMILING GANDHI

Non-Violence and Truth were the weapons
Gandhi used to get freedom for India;
Fasting was the method he adopted for all
As Non-Cooperation against the Foreign Rulers,
Following simple living and high thinking measures
As his mark of culture that made Gandhi a Mahatma.

Now Mahatma Gandhi smiles at the economy
Of the nation in all the Currencies of India
As without village development India cannot achieve
The stipulated economic targets of the nation;
For, “India lives in her villages,” said Gandhi
Long, long ago to one and all in India!

For fair democratic development advised Gandhi to start
New political parties disbanding Freedom Party;
But contrarily for catching votes followed politicians
Political parties under the same banner of the old party;
So, only corruption, casteism and favoritism thrive now
In all walks of life leaving the nation at the back burner.

“See not, hear not and speak not Evil things” are symbolized
Through Mahatma’s Dolls of Monkey to the people;
But contrary to this, people use democratic rights wastefully
Degrading the hard earned freedom by him,
Leaving Gandhi just to smile from above the sky forever
As he does in all the Currencies of the nation!

So, Education without Character, Politics without Principles
And Freedom without Discipline cannot achieve his Dream;
Remembering this in mind, let us honor the Mahatma
By following his ideals in life in the true spirit
So that Gandhi Nation can lead to peace and prosperity
All the nations of the world as One Nation!

GODS AND GODDESSES ONE GREAT POWER!

Bead-String in one hand and Book in another hand
Goddess Saraswathi sits on a White Lotus
Victoriously invoking art with her beautiful Veena
Eternally divine notes infinite
To grace the ardent one with knowledge to stand in this world
And have a permanent place in that world!

Sitting on a Pink Lotus Goddess Lakshmi shines bright
In all her glory wearing Ornaments of Gold and Diamonds
Gracing the suitably great persons with
Progress, prosperity and wealth;
Briefly, beautiful Sri Lakshmi symbolizes all
Wealth, comfort and jollity wherever she is present!

Goddess Sakti majestically sits on the Red Lotus with
A Trisul in one hand and a Tambourine in another hand
Ready to slay down the formidable foes,
Who act arrogantly against dharma in the world;
Also, without Sakti no one can survive fighting
Courageously against adharma in the world!

So, Saraswathi is the source and for the development of
Knowledge for everyone in the world;
Lakshmi is the source and for the development of
Wealth for everyone in the world;
And Sakti is the source and for the development of
Power for everyone in the world!

Without knowledge creation of any kind
Cannot be good and great;
Without wealth protection of lives
Cannot last longer;
Without power destruction of evil
Cannot be perfectly complete!

To accomplish those aspects the Consorts of these Goddesses,
Brahma, Vishnu and Siva are there respectively
Looking after the duties of Creation, Protection and Destruction
Both in the world and in the Universe
In many Forms of Incarnations variously pointing out
The One All Pervading Great Power!

Four Vedas in the four hands of the four headed Brahma
Sits on a beautiful Lotus Flower,
Whose stem is connected to
The abdominal navel point of Lord Vishnu
Doing the duty of creation of Stars, planets
And living beings in the Universe!

Lord Vishnu reclining over the five headed Snake Bed
Comforted by the hand pressings of Lakshmi of His leg calves,
And surrounded by the Gods of Heaven ponders over
The ways to protect the Good against the Bad
Keeping ever ready in His hands weapons like
Chakra, Conch and Club to do His duty of protecting dharma!

Sitting on the highest Snow Mountain top
In a best possible yogic position
With a String of Beads, Holy Water Pot
And Trisul in His hands
Lord Siva coolly calculates each and everything
And performs His duty of destruction in time!

Nine and One Nights!

Music, song and dance in all the nine nights
With a grand finale on the tenth finishes happily
Navarathri and Dussehra for the work and victory of
The year in Spring, Summer and Autumn before Winter.
Everyday as ants men toil under the hot sun,
That dries the land and boils the ocean annually;
Never the less "It's a natural phenomenon,”
Men heave a sigh of relief after a long travail!
But the grass hoppers of them coolly spend in gambling
Time, wealth and energy till they become bankrupt;
Naturally how can the ant entertain the hopper in the winter?
Nine and one nights, the bridge between the vestige
Of the summer and the beginning of winter in the year
Reminds men to prepare ready to face all rigors of
The darkness of the mind in the coming dark cold nights.
For the last quarter to win in the quarrels with the evils
both fanciful and fantastic ensuring final victory to the good.
Why the good only should win and survive ever?
If the good wins the whole world will survive for ever.
A colossus, the creature of evil may look to be;
Yet there is an end for all that goes beyond all limits.
Instance: The celebration of Dussehra in memory
Of the slaying of Maheshasura, a formidable Asura
By the Universal Mother Goddess in the legendary age.
Nine nights in nine exquisite attires the Goddess appears
And on the 10th day kills the formidable foe of the universe.
Perhaps this is the reason moods of men are also nine,
And the nine moods of men make the nature of man.
If not courage, anger, hatred; calmness, lust, fear;
And mercy, humor, wonder, what else it could be?
Beside zero Natural Numbers are also nine;
Effective gems are usually numbering nine;
For, perhaps the planets are also nine in number!
The full circle zero adds power to all numbers;
Though nothing it makes all numbers powerful!
Education, knowledge and art make one wise;
Money, property and gold make one solid;
Courage, boldness and bravery make one strong;
Combination of these nine make one complete
Capable of tackling human life in any situation!
Knowledge, wealth and power three in one make one thrive
As creation, preservation and destruction of God's natural act!
Hence circling round the temple thrice or 9 has become a custom!
But one complete circle comprises of all nine in one too!
Nine planets without the one Sun are nothing in the Solar system!
Nine planets with the Sun only make one complete system.
Perhaps nine and one nights also follow this magic system!
Dark and cold circumstances give weakness and fear
To the meek to think about fate and destiny
Leading the thought process to hopelessness and death.
But to the alert, balanced and disinterested minds
Hot or cold, day or night is one and the same;
This attitude for a person of aptitude is the fortitude
Called resourcefulness one learns from all failures.
So, first preparation for the worst gives power
To face adversities for the rest even for the poor.

THE ISLAND OF MY DREAM!

A snoring sleep I slept before I left
For the island of my dream I wished to see.
Elated to the top I fly high in the air to
The island of my dream I cherish most
On a journey of a dream to the dreamland coast!

In the Space millions of miles I travel to the cynosure
Crossing many Milky Ways containing clusters of galaxies;
All the way light and dark sensations dazzle fast the vision
And pass through air, clouds, gases, vacuum and dust particles
Accompanying blasting noises and eerie silence from distance to distance
As if moving from hell to heaven and heaven to hell at the flicker of a moment!

This cynosure, the island in the Universe is like an Octopus or a Crab
That holds the Ocean of Universe by its countless tentacles!
It is a circle with the centre as the island and the circumference everywhere!

I see snow capped mountains like the Alps or the Everest,
Where people live in caves and play games in glittering colors!
In the middle of the mountain slopes, volcanoes erupt fires
Of gold, diamonds, silver, mercury, sulphur and minerals,
That fall with the water falls and roll along with the ocean
To make the water sweeter and solve water scarcity problem!
The people along the bank cast the net and collect fish and treasures;
For food, dress and shelter they make use of them skillfully
And children collect the diamonds on the sea shore to satisfy their curiosity!

The breeze through trees of the forests spreads aromatic fragrance!
The beautiful birds swim in the misty lakes here and there!
The dappled deer leap with joy and pleasure in the vast plains!
The bluish green peacocks dance with spread wings in the colorful gardens!
The beautiful birds fly happily singing sweet songs in lovely melodies!
And nothing but joy, enthusiasm and peace prevail everywhere!

The beautiful cynosure, the island… is it simply Nature or God or Paradise?
It is everything in one in infinity and eternity beyond words to describe;
So, it is beyond my intuitional power to describe everything here.

THREE WHITE HORSES!

Born free are the white horses numbering
three in the picture on the wall;
Pure as milk white they represent
yesterday, today and tomorrow
Grazing green grass on the grazing ground
of the everlasting earth!

The past has just about to have left
unheard, unknown and unseen;
The present is glaringly
heard, known and seen in the middle;
And the future is not yet
heard, known and seen right!

The present with the past and the future
in the left and right
minds only what’s before it;
The present neither knows the past
nor bothers to know the future;
The position of the present is such that
it makes hay while the Sun shines!

Pegasus the flying horse was the legend
of yesterday;
Puritan is the best bet for the Jackpot
in the horse race today;
Perhaps Blue Pegasus may be the one to reach
the Stars in the Space tomorrow!

The legendary King Vikramadhitya had a flying horse,
A rare gift, it seemed to be in the golden period of India.
Now we don’t have such wise kings to rule the world;
And the flying horses too cannot be seen anywhere on the earth!

Now in the age of science and technology animals and men
are almost replaced by machines;
And the chance of any horse playing prominence
is made purposeless except in ceremonies!
Merely the power of the machines is measured
in terms of so many horses;
So, only the name of white horse is seen
in the labels of materials and machines!

The legendary Aurora arrives in a chariot
driven by seven white horses
Representing the seven colors of a rain bow,
an image impossible to ignore!
How beautiful, majestic and wonderful
this legendary God of Dawn, the Sun is!

The symbol of victory represents Lord Krishna and Arjuna
on a chariot pulled by four white horses;
Lord Krishna preached Bhagavat Gita on this symbolic
chariot on the battle of Kurukshetra;
Even today this symbolic preaching is
cherished in memory and followed in practice!

Whether it is 1 or 3, 4 or 7 white horse is a symbol
representing many immortal things to man;
Hence simply white horse means the symbol of
the past, the present and the future.
Perhaps the three white horses of the picture
denote the Trinity of the World Religion
Brahma, Vishnu and Siva, the symbol of
Creation, Preservation and Destruction;
And their consorts, Saraswathi, Lakshmi and Parvathi
represent Knowledge, Wealth and Power.

The will of Nature too orders all beings undergo
the process of birth, life and death,
The three stages constituting the complete life.
The Trinity is the principle of the Universe too;
Nothing but Space, Energy and Matter are
what the whole of the Universe is!

The past is not dead and gone;
The past is still present in the present.
The present is not present always;
So also the future is not far away;
And any moment the future will become the present!

The past, the present and the future are not separate entities;
They are the three phases of the one and the same Time-Spirit.
Only the moment the Matter is formed
in the Space, Time-Spirit is realized!

This Time-Spirit was there, is there and will be there;
This one and the only Spirit is manifesting
as Space, Matter and Time;
And this Spirit is the cause and the conclusion
of Space, Matter and Time!
