Throwing The Mask
Suddenly the immensity of the Universe
imprisoned in my gaze
Suddenly my consciousness woke up
I realized who I am
and pushed my life forward
on other, upward paths
I have known so many centuries of meaningless moments
of my wrong choices
I learned to be hungry and thirsty
for something higher than my fleeting breath
I'm tired of living far away
from my wildest dreams
I'm tired of suffering away
of my most unspeakable desires
Now I want to raise my soul
in other skies brighter, more illuminated
The divinity is mine as
the Creator promised us
but I was lost helplessly in the cracks
of a complacent, careless, poor life
who had nothing to offer me,
nothing gilded to give me
I had been sucked in by the darkness of everyday life,
filling my spirit and heart with deep wrinkles
Now I ask to come out into the light and the hopeful Sun
of my forgotten consciousness,
the mask of hypocrisy to throw away
from my face
Fallen angel with clipped wings
to cover myself with the shield of my supreme truth
My Salvation
I was prisoner in the box of my Ego for many centuries
I had acquired thoughts like granite,
like caves terrible and dark
that nested in them
the beasts and monsters of my selfish choices
They guided my mind and body
with unrestrained momentum to downhill
which led to bottomless cliffs
I made people whoop
from my inexhaustible selfishness
The madness of my ego
he seduced me as
naked nymph scary,
it drew me like a magnet
in thickets and in darkness
He wanted to join me
and then with pains to throw me into the void
But you came with the Argo of your love
and you crushed my fragile self,
slaying the dragons
that tormented my hapless soul,
leading me to purification and salvation
just before i'm lost forever
in the depths of my private darkness
