Illusion
In Memory Of Professor Antoni Kępiński (1918-1972)
Crumbled time between the
the real and the unreal,
and yet alive,
drilling out the dry illusion of the intangible.
It’s very difficult to leave the state
in which
the illusion of truth makes you stay.
To be where it feels better
despite one’ own world,
of not always happy thoughts,
is right next to us.
The hollow space around us hurts,
the hiding place within us offers other shades.
Not everyone can experience them,
only those who
perhaps
experience them more fully.
Translated by Dorota Stępińska
Similarity
His almost fading manner
sometimes still
shows its former power.
Between trying to
to change his habits,
and the way he is,
there are years etched into him.
He feels bad
with his own test on metamorphosis.
He will continue to be himself.
His illusion that he will change
to be like others
is fleeting.
