ERMANNO SPERA

Justice

acting according to goodness and truth

nobility of values

sometimes justice

is a bit like going to the grocery store

the scale

does not always do its duty

the human being is human

close your eyes

close your eyes

close your eyes

hoping that a weight is a feather

that a pair of shoes

finds the ground

to continue walking

and above all to believe

All In One

I found myself walking in the woods

I saw a blackbird perched on a branch

it didn’t take long

he spread his wings and flew away

I stepped on the grass of a meadow

it was so soft

a girl was walking a dog who then came towards me

my hand caressed her head

an old man sat on the bench

he was reading the newspaper

his gaze fixed on the news pages

his glasses were as red as poppy petals

a child was playing with a toy car

he was moving it on a tufa block making the sound of the engine

I walked towards the wooden bridge

my arms folded to admire the swift step of a moorhen in the brook

by now he knew me

no longer fleeing to hide

on my way back home a steep asphalt climb

two cats, or rather three, one black and two reddish

they chased my every movement with their eyes

turning their eyes to the sky

a kestrel hovering in the air

something wonderful

I returned home

lying on the sofa

I had been a blackbird

then grass

a dog

an old man

a child

a bridge

a moorhen

an asphalt

two cats, or rather three

the sky

even a kestrel

I closed my eyes

I found myself in a dream called life

ERMANNO SPERA

ERMANNO SPERA, was born in Rome (Italy) on 11 March 1967, where he lives. He is a writer, poet and painter. He has participated in various poetry competitions and his poems have been included in national and international literary anthologies. Philosophical concepts, metaphorical expressions and a great lyrical ability are highlighted in his poems. He knows how to juxtapose with skilful stylistic ability images and landscapes of the soul and strong conceptual intuitions. Ermanno Spera’s poems are a treasure trove of ideas, inventions, hidden adventures where the poetic and artistic spirit of the author is compressed and expressed. In his works, the concept of troubled humanity almost always manifests itself even if the poet tends to hide and mask reality, making it become joyful and peaceful as his soul thirsting for peace and justice desires. Sometimes his poetry becomes hermetic and enigmatic. Many metaphors, visions and how much thought his mind releases which does not rack his brain over memory, but always tries to pave the way for new paths of the spirit.
