MEHRAN HASHEMI

1

the mirror looks different now

the reflection of truth is blurred

the man

from the other side

has faded into foggy thoughts

and this vivid illusion

makes me question

my existence

2

and the universe messaged me

by sending a little bird

to sit behind the window in the morning

yet her knocking pecks at the glass

couldn't awaken me

or maybe i didn't want the bird

of my dream

to disappear
