ELIZA SEGIET

SUNFLOWERS

A garden has blossomed in mind,
but still awaits the scent.
How beautiful it is,
flowered with a harmony of colours.

Behind the magic wicket,
open for new sensations
Are two stooping heads
of bloomed sunflowers.
They must have been bowing before
love maundering in the distance.

Wind
has slammed the enchanted gates,
felt hunger
and knew,
that although the garden can be imagined,
love needs to be expressed.

THE EASEL

If you had kept me forever
in pastel clouds.
My body would have allured
with the fond memories.

I would be dreaming
on a stone wall,
or a canvas.
From the easel I wish to
keep inviting you to my dream.

If
you had kept me forever
in the fragrance of ink.

Or perhaps,
keep me in your heart only.

I know,
You won’t do this,

And I,
my Abelard,
will still pursue love.

THE MARK OF LOVE

She painted him with her thoughts,
and felt his imagined touch.
Silky hands
drew the mark of love
on her mouth.

She was with him,
probably...
at the end of the earth
pulsating like...
life.

Earth showered with
salty pearls.
On her Beach of Dreams,
she heard the waves talking,
and him saying:
“I am happy with you”.
Did he lie?
Maybe waves played tricks.

Never mind,
If he was only imaginary,
though
quite possible.
Her everything and nothing.
