GEORGIANA L. GHEORGHE

GEORGIANA-LAURA GHEORGHE

A Picture Of Tranquility

Bathed in the light of the goddess of the night,

The picturesque village is getting ready to rest.

The distant stars are shining on the blue canopy

To keep the mists of time from ruining the tranquil moment.

The shady trees are making sure

That everyone is safe for the night.

The palm tree marvels at the reflection

Of the beautiful sky in the calm waters of the lake.

A choir of angels is lulling the souls young and old to sleep

While nature’s night patrol is on duty.

I Paint The Thoughts

About first love in pink,

Of seeing a tranquil scene in lavender,

Of doing a research on the celestial bodies

In blue to remember about the beautiful sky,

Of reading about Atlantis in deep blue

To remember to go look for it underwater,

Of hearing the songs of nature in green

To rejoice every time they come into my mind,

Of feeling the sun’s warmth in yellow,

Of knowing how to keep a balance in my life

In orange when I overdo things,

Of wanting excitement in my life in red

To remind myself that life is exciting in her own way.

In the colors of the rainbow

To always keep a positive attitude.

August

After drought and storms

He drops in on us

Eager to share from his pouch

The long-awaited harvest.

The holy water protects them from the evil touch like a holy shield,

Fruits and plants receive healing abilities,

Tears run down our rosy cheeks

Hearing the news of the Dormition of the mother of God.

The blooming roses extend Queen Autumn’s stay,

Helplessly we watch the Beheading of Saint John the Baptist/ the Forerunner

At the wicked Herodias’ order.

You’re the guide to the flocks of sheep

That comes down from the mountains.
