A New Day
My sea weary
spirit is torn
Tossed in the
force of the storm
Anger simmers
around my heart
While hunger
rumbles within
I'm a caged
heart afraid of trying
Locked in my own
cell
I know that I
must break out
Out of this
hurting hell
I know it's time
to leave my heart
To the fate of
fortunes hands
I need to find
my own haven
Upon so milk
white sand
And so in
paradise
I am alive and
free
No more being
scared and afraid
I am cutting my
losses and tragedies
I am living for
today.

A New Year Awaits
This is a new
year
It's gonna be
great
Life is a party
One big fete
This is the year
For dreams to
come true
To get ambitious
To see it
through
A time to aspire
To new heights
To overcome
fears
Taste new
delights
To enjoy
ourselves
Make the most of
our life
Make loads of
new fiends
To put all
wrongs right.

A New Year
A new year
A new beginning
A chance to do
the right thing
To start that
exercising
Determined to be
trim
Give up on the
smoking
Slapping on a
patch
Do some more for
charity
That's a solemn
fact
The first two I
have failed on
I am such a wimp
It is just pure
laziness
That is what I
think
On the charity
side
I think I've
done quite well
There's tons
I've done for children
As well as
adults as well.
