The Abyss

(a terzanelle poem)

This is the abyss where man falls into,

where he bluntly refuses to listen

to any advice, or truth hitherto.

It’s where his mind-set is caustic, brazen

to the point of seeing everything fake,

where he bluntly refuses to listen.

Where Covid-19 spreads, it’s a mistake;

the number of deaths absolutely false:

to the point of seeing everything fake.

Even though his surrogates show repulse,

his callousness bares this affront be true:

the number of deaths absolutely false.

His conniving actions bare truth in cue,

without a doubt, vote against him is fraud;

his callousness bares this affront be true.

Tomorrow’s tantrums will be heard aloud.

This is the abyss where man falls into,

without a doubt, vote against him is fraud;

to any advice, or truth hitherto.

Deviant Are Us

How much of this good Life in us we know

That sparks a storm like tornado coming

When the aberrant reveals we know so

Only waiting to strike without thinking.

On the spur of a moment feet pump gas

And wheels ride o’er innocent passersby

Who ramble and scramble in a morass

Shrieking and screaming with echoing cry.

Who are we to decide consonant norms

To aggregate attributes to aspire

And for us to appropriate social forms

When beast in each of us sees no desire.

If we nurture Life like Nar’da Muni

Deviance will be controlled scrutiny.

You Are My Light

You are my light

my kindled lamp of guidance

a twinkling star

at mercy of a troubled night;

you take me closer, closer

to manger of hopes and dreams

where success rocks in a cradle

satiating gifts

gold, frankincense , myrrh

along my stumbling path

battered and bruised

in the nature of things

you keep me walking

unmindful of stumbling stones

while my heart pulsates

through bones relentless

in pursuit of success;

in the eye of my destiny

I watch the vista

determined not to falter

holding on to you

you are my light

my kindled lamp of guidance

Om…Jai Shree Ram…Namo Namah.
