TARANA TURAN RAHIMLI

TARANA TURAN RAHIMLI

What Kind Of Place

Time Is This?

What kind of place, what time is this?

Who sent me to this place?

This road once saw ogre people

And let me be in trouble for hundred times.

Those whom I felt they couldn’t feel me,

They weren’t tired of making me grieve.

They didn’t let any empty room in my inside,

Tell me, where can I hide myself in?

They considered my spring to be winter,

Whatever I did they were confused.

I kept silence so much they thought I am a stone

They built me in the walls…

A Poem Is A Divine Word

A poem is a divine word

It can’t be said at any moment.

It can’t come to life

At any moment you want.

A poem must firstly grow

In the uterus of the spirit.

Then it must be perfect

Then it must  either enter the heart

Or must turn to ashes.

In order to write

A drop of poem

Your senses and feelings

Must run like streams

A poem must be written

With the blood of the heart

A poet must be seen

Inside of each hemistich.

“Requiem” Was Being Played

Inside of the silence of the night

“Requiem” was being  played-

Like the lullaby to the last night.

That heart was beating

Inside of mysterious voices.

Getting over the limits of time,

Getting over the borders

Of the entire globe

“Requiem” was being played.

Sounds were caught by flames,

Mozart’s fingers

Longing for the keys of the piano

Were got by fire.

His lips that the death left

After kissing in secret

Were whispering to Salyeri still,

“Requiem” was being played.

The darkness of the night

Smelled sorrow or grief.

The sound was lowering into a well,

And at times rose to the height.

The destiny of the day that was breaking

Was written at just moment.

The heart of the composer

Bored for the last time.

“Requiem” was being played.

It was left less time to the morning,

That heart had copied its being

On the sounds.

Its face had turned to white

Signs of kiss on the lips

Mozart was smiling

Like the lullaby to the last night.
