A Dream Of Xmas After

Xmas after, the spirits still glow,

memories through like fresh fallen snow,

laughter shared and love is in the air

Xmas after, joy fills everywhere.

Xmas after, the tree stands bare its sparkle gone,

a sentinel waiting for a brighter dawn

no shining bow, no festive frame

just human connection warm and plain. 

Xmas after, the joy still lingers

in the hearts of all the love still shimmers,

the memories made, the laughter shared

Xmas after the love is declared.

Xmas after, the season's cheer remains

in hearts and homes, it gently sustains,

the laughter shared and memories made

keep the spirit of Xmas never to fade.

Xmas after, in the stillness a truth appears

more profound than fleeting cheers,

for Xmas after, if we do dare

is the spirit of giving bright and everywhere.   

Dreaming Of The Time After

The time after... a blank canvas to unfold,

where dreams can flourish and some stories untold

though nothing remains as it has been before,

is there a chance to create, to love once more?

In the time after... all worlds collide,

nothing remains, no joy or pride,

a new void so vast, a void to fill,

there lingers a silence, profound and still.

Gone is the beauty that once did bloom

leaving behind a haunting gloom,

no laughter echoes, no love to share,

no birdsong dances upon the thin air.

As memories fade and hopes pass by

the whispering winds, now mournfully sigh,

a reflection of a world in strife,

the rivers run dry devoid of life.

A chance for rebuilding has now been ordained

because in the time after nothingness reigned,

with every heartbeat, a rhythm starts

to heal the wounds of broken hearts.

A seed of potential waiting to grow

to mend the wounds letting new life flow,

but amidst the darkness, a glimmer appears,

a spark of hope that conquers all fears. 

So let us embrace the time that's now here

with open arms, let's banish our fear,

because in the void, there's a chance to show

that we can create a world which will glow.
