Awake Dreams
I am silent,
My awake dreams are screaming,
Inside me, winter prayers,
I insist that I am a masterpiece
And try to create art with it.
I touch the words, power arises.
Melodies from another era
Take my heart away.
I want to stay close to boundless,
Endless dreams.
In an ocean of questions,
I fall upon the answers.
My heart is a forest song.
My soul is the poetry of flawed elegance
Poured onto hundreds of pages.
A connection, muse fairies,
Raven months, always art,
A world governed by poets.
Floating In Dreams
The weight of the world didn't matter.
He loved the light, the shadow,
The melting colors, and the music.
He could understand
Where the wind came from,
From the forest, the blue,
The delicate scent of flowers,
The smoke, and the salt.
The changing cirrus in the sky
Was the thing shimmering
Between the moon’s fingers.
In another realm, he was watching himself
From within his own mind.
Embracing the neck of time,
Wandering in its mystery.
He could analyze and worry about
Hundreds of things,
But when a spark turned into a flame,
He chose to dive into the heat.
Traveling like the birds in migration,
He was dreaming colorful dreams.
