JORGE CONTRERAS

The Tailor Of Dreams

The snails weave a fine diamond silver filigree,

the dreams tailor grasps foam from waves and spins it

with silver chains, weightless as a shadow of light,

visible on the green leaves of geraniums.

As you dive into another dimension where dreams

are words with dreams and in them you dream.

An inner impulse is the tailor's cloth

that dresses your blood with tissues, marine cells,

immortal jellyfish,

whales sitting around a table

looking at the sketches’ album that the dreams tailor

has published in a book for Marina.

You become even more immersed,

every second is a thousand years beyond time

flowers are eternities and in each of them galaxies are sighted,

angels or geniuses, immense souls vibrating in the nothingness

and you are far away, infinite, profound

looking at me in the possibility

and the dreams tailor sees you submerging

and he dreams of being a sea pulsating in densities:

on one side the waves are mountains

on the other they are blizzards

and you, you reveal the mystery of distances

and the mystery of destinies

and you emerge to breathe in this world

for an instant.

Poetry Is A State Of Consciousness

When I saw her,

I felt a lovely emotion,

then I listened to her

and I had the impression

that she breathed in a different way,

that she could fill her lungs

with smiles and birdsongs,

that she was a tree and that the light turned

her into words and that her roots

extended towards other realities,

languages, dreams.

      She is Eden.

The paradise is poetry,

which is a state of consciousness,

which is a limitless place.
