Glitter

I saw desire

Desire,

To

Posses.

My

Nerves tingled

And

In

My dream

That

Night

I 

Saw

Snakes entwined 

Knotted 

Into

A knot

Of

Desire...

Monsoons 

Brought 

Raindrops, 

Summer,

Sunshine. 

The snakes

Lay

Entwined 

And

I,

Dreamt on...

Watching you stand

At

The other bank

A river called 

Time.

The wait

Was

Long,

The waters

Deep

NITA B GEORGE is a published poet and a short story writer. A Degree College Lecturer in English, she has done her Post Graduation in English Literature from Osmania University, Hyderabad. She has also done her Bachelor of Education (Teacher's Training) from Osmania University, Hyderabad. Her career as an English teacher spans a period of 37 years.
