A Place For Her
The moment you
walked out.
I knew it was
goodbye.
My place is warm
and friendly, why leave?
It’s where I
listened to your heart cry.
I fed you, and
comfort food was your warmth.
We laughed,
joked about stuff.
I carried your
pain too.
I tried to save
you from yourself.
I didn’t have it
all together either.
But my heart was
home.
I lived in my
walls of my sadness.
We both were
sad, but we made do.
It was your
place, your peace.
It was my life I
shared, daughter.
I still called
you daughter, because you never left.
You said goodbye
to the things you loved.
The things that
held you tight.
It will be ok,
as you left us behind.
We will be
waiting for you.
Right where you
left us my daughter.
Our distance is
never lost.
Circles Or Cycles
It knows no
name; it waits in the mystery.
No one calls it
to play.
It comes back,
never lost.
It holds
secrets, that awaits the right time.
Voices infused
within the mastery style.
Life plays off
in the open.
Whispering
softly, a calmness understood.
No names
mentioned, but the wandering ears listen.
The silent song
that looks for company.
It lingers in
souls that don’t see.
It’s coming,
waiting for the right moment.
This is life,
this is what we see.
Just prepare and
wait, it will be there.
You know what
you did.
It’s do
welcoming, as it just shows up.
Just embrace it,
because it’s singing your song.
You love to
dance, so enjoy the music.
Monks For Peace
Brown robes that
hung in the wilderness.
Travelled in
bond, in unity walking.
A peace that brought tears to weary eyes.
Eyes that wanted
answers, searching.
Cold air that
made us feel their presence.
Pained, as
healing opened up wounded hearts.
Footsteps not
tired to walk but sang.
Prayers from the
monks that shifted time.
Everyone
together sang too.
Their journey,
only hands understood.
They wept,
outstretched themselves in silence.
No one laughed
but knelt down in prayer.
Flowers offered
hope to a dying world.
Hearts that was
cold, opened up to be saved.
Renewed
optimism, a kindness we welcomed.
How about us,
what’s in us to be free?
Does hate
lingers in the hidden walls of our house?
How do we carry
our vessel?
Can God empty
us? Do we have a need?
Search the
monks, they will answer.
As the cold,
unfriendly atmosphere, tried to stop the questions.
Humanity and
empathy held on strong, rooted.
The journey is
not lost hopefully not forgotten.
So much is at
stake, is either now or nothing.
Monks for peace.
“A dying world,
where there’s no answers but more questions, more rules,
more suffering.
Something just got to crack and do the unthinkable.”
