Young maidens are no match for me -

They live and blossom nearby,

But a dark-skinned youth reads me

Poetry in Russian.

Bad ones so far. Well, he will master

Language, culture, soul, nerve -

He will write poems about Russia.

And with her, that means, about me.

Младые девы – не чета мне –

Живут, цветут невдалеке,

Но смуглый отрок мне читает

Стихи на русском языке.

Пока плохие. Что ж, осилит

Язык, культуру, душу, нерв –

Стихи напишет о России.

А с нею, значит, обо мне.

A glass world on a bookshelf.

In tandem with a "golden" pen.

And in the prototype – smoke, shards,

Threats, fears, gossip,

And lies, and pain from all sides...

 

And how come I didn't look

at the world from the right angle sooner?!

...I turned the globe over,

And tightened the axis,

And breathed, and inhaled

a line of poetry...

So far it hasn't helped...

Стеклянный мир на книжной полке.

В тандеме с «золотым» пером.

А в прототипе – дым, осколки,

Угрозы, страхи, кривотолки,

И ложь, и боль со всех сторон…

 

И как я раньше не взглянула

На мир под правильным углом?!

… Я шар земной перевернула,

И ось покрепче затянула,

И обдышала, и вдохнула

Строку…

     Пока не помогло…

MARINA BEZDENEZHNYKH: Bezdenezhnykh Marina Alexandrovna - poet. She was born in Omsk, USSR. She graduated from school, the philological faculty of Omsk State University, postgraduate studies at Lomonosov Moscow State University, doctoral studies at Omsk State University. Poems were published in collective collections, almanacs, anthologies and magazines in Omsk, Tomsk, Moscow, St. Petersburg, etc. She is an author of 8 poetry books. She is the head of the regional literary association attached to the Omsk regional public organization of the Writers' Union of Russia. Marina Bezdenezhnykh is a winner of a number of regional and All - Russian literary awards.  She was awarded the medal "For Service to Literature" (2012). Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor of Pedagogy, Psychology and Social Work of the Omsk Humanitarian Academy. Author of many scientific publications (articles, anthologies, manuals, etc.), the monograph "Language Portrait of the Omsk Poetry School: Vocabulary and Phraseology". She is a member of the Writer's Union of Russia since 1994, a board member of the Omsk regional public organization of the Writer's Union of Russia, a member of the editorial board of the magazine "Literary Omsk".
