SARWAT HINA

The Poet's Companion

In the quiet moments where thoughts take flight,

A poet's words dance in the soft moonlight.

Yet, without the gaze of a knowing eye,

These verses would falter, unanchored, and die.

Oh reader, your presence breathes life anew,

To lines that weave joy, sorrow, and truth.

Your admiration is the poet's air,

A lifeline of purpose, a bond that we share.

You make the poet feel seen and adored,

A mirror reflecting the soul that's poured.

Through your insight, our voices combine,

In a dialogue timeless, your mind and mine.

In every page turned, our worlds entwine,

Our grief, happiness, dreams, they align.

Your understanding, so deep and profound,

Gives meaning to every word, every sound.

To convey and be understood so well,

Is the greatest joy in which poets dwell.

For in your heart, our verses find home,

In your mind, our words forever roam.

So, here's to you, the reader dear,

Your presence, our purpose, so bright and clear.

For without you, creativity would cease,

In your embrace, we find our peace.

Moonlit Embrace

Beneath a sky where stars delight,

A full moon bathes the world in light.

Its silver beams, so pure and bright,

Dance on the ocean through the night.

The winds, in joyous, wild spree,

Race over waves, unfettered, free.

They laugh and sing, in purest glee,

As if they hold a secret key.

The ocean, with its heaving tides,

Reaches up, where beauty hides.

In moon's embrace, it yearns, it strides,

Each wave a lover, no shame, no chides.

Rising high, the waters gleam,

Chasing the moon, a silvery dream.

They touch and kiss, in love’s supreme,

A night’s desire, endless seam.

Till dawn arrives, with tender grace,

And moon retreats, its soft embrace.

The sun awakens, night’s sweet chase,

Leaving memories, a gentle trace.
