CHRISTOS DIKBASANIS

You Don’t Answer Me

I'm talking to you

but you don't answer me

Your lips are sealed

with strings of purple silence

I'm talking to you

but you don't answer me

even with a murmur

You avoid the answers

Your eyes are two vessels

finished libation

I'm talking to you

but you don't answer me

My life is imprisoned

on your expressionless face

My dreams are locked away

in your odorless scent

Is this love?

I'm talking to you

pressing firmly into my hand

the blade of hope

I get lost in between

in the withered flowers

of your indifference

I'm talking to you, my love

but your mind is lost

among the stars of the sky

Darkness reigns

in your watchful gaze

full of sleepy birds

It will be April for me

just your open mouth,

the words of your desire that will come out

foamy sea from within you

But you are silent, my love,

with a bitter knife deep

in the heart of your fearful soul

from my wicked hand

That horrible hand

a demon possesses it

I see it cutting now

with his claws pieces

from your flesh and to nourish

my scaly body

with your eternal memory

The Zombies

Strange creatures are moving

in the eerie night

Once they had died,

looking for love

Now the streets are deserted

and the paths difficult

Where they go without hope,

no destination?

They can't find a gate

for the heavenly dwellings of God

but also the deprivation of the kiss

prevents them from rising to the heights

of eternal life

They walk slowly, bent over from pain

with their flesh fringed

to crawl back

from their elusive dream

They don't accept it

nor the flames of Hell

While they were alive they had burned

in two eyes in two lips

who ironically drove away

all their lusts

Now only demon claws

they stroke them on the chest

and there are bats nests

into their body

Where they go without life,

without any expectation of atonement?

What a pity!

Their torn heart

no grave accepts her

They had never lived

the sweetness of love

They had only ate

the fruits of betrayal

Now they are searching in the dark

desperately the voracious touch
