The Day Is Leaving

 

The day is tired; he was for a long time awake

and his path is unpredictable

in strange infinity

before his going to take a short brake.

For someone it’s been to long

for another it lasts short like a gong

but anyway

whatever we do now

he runs from our hands, and go away.

The day is tired, it goes out, it gets darker

but it leaves us with memories marker.

In twilight's gentle, waning glow,

 as the day takes its final bow,

silent whispers grace the air,

 a tale of night begins to wear.

A symphony of colors fade,

 into the night's mysterious shade.

In darkness, find a tranquil rest,

 a sanctuary where dreams are blessed,

for even as the day finds its end,

a new tomorrow does transcend.

The sun changing colors and is setting

cannot give him more light

he surrenders, the darkness steals him

but in the morning, we have meeting.                        

 

Life’s Greatest Treasure

 

In the attic of my mind

all memories, they are lined

all faces woven through the years

evoking joy, fear and tears.

I hear the laughter of childhood

like a melody so good

while I'm losing my air

I wish I could go back there

. where secrets were confessed

those times were the best.

Memories are like a drawn life map

for the mistakes a strong slap

they leave an inerasable mark

like a deep bite from a shark

In the soul and the heart.

but also, my rarest treasure

by them my life is measure.

I stand and send a greet,

 to my memories bitter and sweet,

for they make my life complete.

SONJA DANILOVSKA: A mentor teacher from Probištip – North Macedonia. Winner of many awards in the profession as a teacher - The best Teacher in the municipality, in the country and the title of Best Teacher Award in the region of the former Yugoslavia, Global Awards –Autstanding Teacher by the 2DSA 2023, Global Best Teacher, Edu Leader, Master Educator, Global Iconic Woman. She writes poetry for children and adults and often participate in literary competitions, literary readings organized by writers' associations and literary clubs in and outside the country, a member of many world poetry groups and associations and she is the winner of many prestigious world poetry awards, for poetry challenges of various forms of poetry, many awards for poet of the week, poet of the month, best poet and many excellences for her writing. She is also the winner of many first prizes and also received a gold plaque and a star of poetry from the World Academy of literature and represented author in many editions of published anthologies and literary collections of poetry for children and adults. She lives for teaching, but poetry is the meaning of her life. Writing poetry fills her spirits and opens the door of all feelings
