EMEL KOŞAR

Shadow Gradient

to Miss Latife

the moan which has shelter

in the patterns of the wallpaper,

was kneaded in the mud of life

thou gild’s the even

crocus, you burn the sun

as if having the mountain get closer to the mountain

as if tearing the horizon

gave breeze to my visions dry rose colored sky

i lifted the veil which is on the bygone era

Translated By Yasemin Kurtuluş

GÖLGE DÜŞÜMÜ

Latife Hanım’a

duvar kâğıdının desenlerine sığınmış

hayatın çamurunda yoğrulmuş inilti

sen aydınlatırsın geceyi

çiğdem, yakarsın güneşi

dağı dağa yanaştırırcasına

ufku yırtarcasına

yel verdi imgelerime gül kurusu gökyüzü

kaldırdım mazinin üstündeki örtüyü

Cherry Blossom

to Miss Seyyan

uncovered frustration

blossom without fruit

shield which kissed by fire

which smelled by the wind

April, which getting darker as you wait

i got ashes over me

by the falling night

i got ashes over me

by the rivers

raven which brings me the light

sorrow has been rested

mimosa, which wounds

have wounded, deferred spring

past is a wound in my hearth

grant to me a fire

your words are apocalypse

Translated By Yasemin Kurtuluş

KİRAZ ÇİÇEĞİ

Seyyan Hanım’a

örtük hüsran

meyvesiz çiçek

ateşin öptüğü

rüzgârın kokladığı kalkan

bekledikçe koyulaşan nisan

küllendim

çöken geceyle

küllendim

nehirlerce

bana ışığı getiren kuzgun

dinlendirilmiş keder

yaraların yaralandığı

mimoza, ertelenmiş bahar

mazi kalbimde bir yaradır

bana bir ateş bahşet sözlerin kıyamet
