DONNA MCCABE

Compassion

Kindness comes in many forms

No matter how small, it is never wasted

From helping others, to open arms

Lifting hearts with words of love

Making souls glow with acts of care

Every act care brings positivity

Creates a happier, loving space

Be kind to others and offer kindness to yourself.

Dark Night Of The Soul

Hidden in darkness so long

A long dark tunnel of anguish, despair

For what seemed like an eternity

Then little chinks of light started to appear

Little rays of hope and warmth

Bathed my flesh

Slowly and surely igniting a flame

Of fresh determination and resolutions

To colour my world once more

Make self-love, self-care a foremost

After many a hard lesson learned.

Fakery

Life has shown me the answers

The true colour of many a person

The words never met by their actions

False perceptions and facades always slip

Trust and interaction withers

Boundaries come into play

Getting a grip on my interaction

Not a game I’m willing to play.
