LISELLE POWDER

Be Still

Be still and know that I am God

“BE STILL”

Where are you going?

His word his lead, his guide.

Cry, pray, kneel. Bruised the knees.

Stop worry, pray, and again PRAY!

The waiting is so long and the

weight is heavy.

Just focus and be steady.

No No, NOO!

Don’t give up, just PRAY!

Lord is me again.

Yes, it’s me again.

What to do?

I Will Try

I will try to be the better version of myself although

my mind is not there to try hard.

I will try to see the best in everything,

but when I try my spirit is willing, but my flesh is weak.

I will try to say the positive affirmations

that I can climb the mountains,

but sometimes I am stuck in the valley

as the valley calls my name.

I will try to conquer my fear but

what I am used to holds me captive

there’s no keys to unlock me.

I will try to win and run the race,

but when I fell down. I stayed there.

I will try to represent myself, but

my failures keep showing up.

I run and hide in my shell,

my sins followed me.

I am broken pieces that is scattered

through my soul, my scars implanted

in my skin.

I am not sure if I can make it,

but I will try.

War

I watched and saw the crumbling, fire I saw.

The beds are not made up, but it was before.

Silent cries once hidden, make peace if you can.

Blood splattered walls, the blood YES!

Run run run, as fast as you can.

The missiles cries leaving home.

No wings to fly, but in the unknown.

Smiles! The rise of the evil man is around.

The children can’t understand, they suffer.

Their toys and dreams in fire.

Humanity is gone and is forgotten.

I didn’t ask for this, why us.

Hands clap, in honor of the dead.

Nowhere to hide, nowhere to run.

I saw the fire coming, the ashes dance.

Then silence, as they made my bed.
