TAMIKIO L. DOOLEY

Leaves Of Autumn

Before I saw the autumn season leaving,

I created a recollection in my thoughts.

I wanted to grasp the memories to last forever.

Even when the winter arrived,

And coming of the spring around,

Then it was summer I would have to learn to adore.

I adored most the shedding of the leaves,

Leaving the branches exposed,

But to never weather away,

Nothing changed about the branches, I said,

Nothing, nothing, at all,

The branches remained,

Just like the memories of autumn to,

In my mind,

I knew myself as the branches,

Never unwavering,

As the wait for the leaves to come,

I stand in front of the tree in the middle of autumn,

To watch the leaves, fall from the stems,

The branches, that is-

Never changing,

Just like the memories of the autumn to me.

A Tapestry Of Moments

My moments are like a tapestry-heavy,

A decorative textile that is woven by hand and has intricate details, often.

 Pictorial designs,

When used as wall hangings,

Or, alternatively, upholstery. Figuratively speaking,

It describes something intricate, vibrant, and intertwined.

A mix of components-for instance-

“Life’s rich tapestry”—integrating various elements into a coherent whole.

My moments.
