Torch Of Hope

 

You should never miss a smile or love because

They look like; torch of hope that everything

It's possible. Peace without love and without a smile is like;

A salad without spices to give it flavor or,

Maybe a sugar-free cake, a tasteless dessert

Exquisite and how to start the day without illusion.

Beautiful emotions and feelings joy.

The happiness, the laughter that changes the mood

Passionate about being better and that everything is possible.

Hope, faith and patience are contagious

Polluting the air of relationships favorably

In which violence has no place. But envy,

Arrogance, enmity, selfishness and wickedness

They pollute negatively; showing it's toxic

Relationships with an empty heart without love.

Patience, tolerance and love flow like

A flame of the torch of peace and; while

The feelings are negative the flame does not light

But if they are positive it will stay on... it shows

Of peace where everything good and important happens.

Let us remember today October 2 and always Mahatma Gandhi...

 

Peace

 

A beautiful word that so many

They use and that very few apply.

Peace…! Peace…! Peace…!

They say it here, there and everywhere;

And shout voices from everything

The world but why don't we start

To apply at every moment and in

Every action...? How hard is it to put

A little effort from each one of us... Or

We are so petty what can we not share

Despite the diversity? If we all like parties, 

Laughter and joy. If we like pigeons,

Flowers and poems; also, poetry,

Stories and books. Also, music, songs

And sounds accompanied by the instruments

In each rhythm; and we like movie theaters,

Comedy... Why can't we understand each

Other though they find many languages

And translators to help us to interpret

The other and understand their point of view?

That nothing has to be equal to ours.

What good is so much knowledge if we can't

Master and amalgamate a simple word?

Let's not imprison that white dove, or

Shut up when you trill the beautiful birds,

Let's learn to living without weapons,

Without bombs, without meanness, without

Selfishness, without competing for political

Desires, social, economic or simply for

Harming the other... If God gave each one

His own to know how to reason and it is

In one's own being… knowing how to create

A good path in peace, dream, live, build

And do without jealousy or rivalry let's learn

From the white dove that flies in peace

Without disturbing and let us know how

To live and spread peace in the world.

Dr. ANA MARÍA MANUEL ROSA was born in Argentina. A food scientist, English teacher, tutor in virtual environments, literary proofreader, editor, anthologist, author of forwards, writer, poet, researcher, historian, screenwriter, film director, and international lecturer, she holds an honorary doctorate, is an Honorary Member of the International Arts Council, and an inductee into the Academy. She has received the Medal of the Order of Cervantes, the Medal of the Order of Kairat Duissenov, and the Medal of the Order of Dante Alyghieri, as well as recognition from Rabindranath Tagore, and numerous other national and international awards and recognitions. She has authored 30 books and is the founder and general director of the cultural magazine "El Jardín de los Poetas" (The Garden of Poets), a publication that has significantly contributed to the dissemination of culture, art in all its forms, and literature in Argentina and around the world. She is also working on other literary projects and has contributed to more than 200 national and international anthologies. Some of her poems have been set to music, such as “La poesia” (Poetry), “La paz” (Peace), “Mujer girasol” (Sunflower Woman), and “A Lionel Andres Messi” (To Lionel Andres Messi). Several of her books have received recognition from governments and cultural and educational institutions, including “Sin escrúpulos II: La esclavitud sexual y la desaparecidos” (Without Scruples II: Sexual Slavery and the Disappearance of Persons), “Malvinas – La guerra sin fin” (Malvinas – The Endless War), the anthology “Argentina – El fin del mundo” (Argentina – The End of the World), the children's story “Viajando en sulky” (Traveling by Sulky), and the cultural magazine “El Jardín de los poetas” (The Garden of Poets). She recently established the Dante Alighieri Order Medal. To date, she has published 31 books, eight of which are anthologies, all of which she compiled. She has been interviewed on various television and radio programs, in print media, and online. She is a frequent guest on programs discussing literature and her poems and is recognized for her long and distinguished literary career.
