Light
you cannot fit
me into contours
of your desires
- nor shape me
as you please. I
am not pliant
play-dough you
can deconstruct
and reconstruct at your whim...
the glowing
embers you
cannot bear to
see — that is me.
Tranquility
The breeze
recollects
birdsong recalls
The scent of
dewy
grass remembers
a sacred silence
complete…
silence -
ancient
primordial,
transcendent,
a hallowed hush
holding its own
in the chaos of
the
surroundings,
through the
turbulence
of living
the unchanging
core
solid,
supportive,
unflinching;
upholds
when storms
converge
steeling
spiritual fortitude
sit like a
luminous pearl
in the oyster of
quietude
The Marginalised — Let Them Speak
They weep in silence, for they are allowed no
voice
They go unheard,
for they are allowed no voice
In your heart
you will hear them, if only you listen
Deep within you
will feel their pain, if only you listen
Not ghost
whispers — these are singeing stories of the living
Not lost
syllables — these are singeing stories of the living
Sharper than
words, are their muted screams
Deeply slashing,
razor-like, are their muted screams
The hearts that
block them out are hard as stones
The ears that
turn away are deaf as stones
