DENNIS JOHN FERADO

DENNIS JOHN FERADO

I CAN HEAR THE RIVER WHEN SHE SINGS

Sky sounds like Chopin’s Opus 53
Clouds rolling in a cleansing mode
Wind’s gale tugging at my wings
Storm is rolling up the road
I sense the river when she wants to sing

Trees are chanting I hear their harmony
Leaves are shaking in multiple tones
My feet are swift like the crackling waters
The teeth of the night bite into my bones
I feel the river she’s about to sing

I heed the wind the wind is very wise
I listen to trees they know many things
Sometimes they howl sometimes they sigh
I met a bird who taught me to fly
Now I can hear the river when she sings
