LUISA CÁMERE QUIROZ

How Can Be Free In This World

tell me world

what's happening to us / where are we going

today my systole drains blood

my concave arteries are squeezed

of so much inhuman tearing

from so much vexation it smells like vinegar

I hear how agonizing moan

silent screams that want to flow

this moan / this cry / succumb

leaving a wavering body

that in the human aspects

they speak to unhealthy people

leaving a bruised inert

unjustly tainted

like rivers of living water stinging

You beat his dying head

screams or moans silently

is that a woman has no value

see her lifeless body

dies little by little hesitant

without being able to shout out loud

enough / I have rights

her executioner doesn't stop,

she's still dominant / he wants to see her die

little by little / see her blood engulf the wasteland

Tell me world what's wrong with us,

Where are we going

in the 21st century in total chaos

without respect for life?

no right ranges / no voice

why her lips restrict mutilate

we have to keep screaming

I am her voice / I am her word

             I am her ADALID

A Bulb Without Flowers

Who broke its petals

that she could not absorb

of the glass / its dew

agonizing without rain

that couldn't grow

free as a bee in honey

What did they do to my child?

could not root

take root in your land

They didn't let him grow

their stems were broken

soulless hands

he couldn't walk / or see

I cry for all these stalks

in flowerless buds

the cruel bombs and missiles

They drowned them with smoke

They fell charred without life

I hear his cries / his brokenness

in their own cocoons

defiled without petals

torn apart one by one

without maternal lullabies

Who could be so cruel

leave you blind / without the rainbow see

I only see inert bulbs

brittle/voiceless

drowned

in your own crying

oh, my God

so much brokenness

his heart tears me

no blood/beats

no dreams / truncated games

only bombs / war

breathless shoots

They didn't let them spread

          its aromas in the fields

Why so much hate / power dehumanization /

Our World In Pieces

I enter your world of shiny spheres

I enter the depths of your bubbling heartbeats

I hear the lion roar

that approaches its prey

It is palpitating your contours

covered in dancing waves

in mists of salt foam

It's pressing your plains

                     placid with aromas

and emerald grasslands

He is eager to destroy

that harmonious congruence

of your lace in harmony / symmetry

attached to your form / to your background

of a world in heavenly ecstasy

We don't want that roar that destroys / bleeds

like grenades

              its thorns stuck

                of pain

                  war

                      death

that infects with his roar / that burns / smells of saltpeter.

We cry out for a stillness in tune

that envelops our senses

let him intoxicate us with his song

to appease the lion's roar

that only annihilates

the beauty of each hummingbird pendant

              of the bees their buzzing

of the flutter of a butterfly

in free harmony / without bars

Everything in full plenitude

I implore you to transform

in a flock of pigeons

let them wave with their glorious wings

                         serene souls that combine

                                  in harmonious harmony

                                      a call without discord

let's be

“that voice that cries in the desert”

musical cadences / with universal nuances

where a prayer is raised

   with silk tulle wrap us

      weave a lace weave

           with subtle goldsmith verses

                 for this world in pieces

Let's spin it again

with a new style

let's mend darns / let's braid loves

     where we only border

           that longed peace

             in a threaded blanket

                with threads of love

To save our world in pieces
