DONNA MCCABE

Climb The Mountain...

Scaling the mountain of life

Facing fears, pitfalls and slippery slopes

Yet broadening horizons along the way

Fueling the want and need to grow

Finding strength and courage to climb on

To survey your own personal vista.

Equality

Equal rights for all

Questioning the old traditional ways

Using our voices to speak out and up

Appreciating the diverseness all around

Living fairly and freely

Increasing bonds of community

Tolerance and compromise

Yearning for a better world.

Freedom

I felt freedom today

Felt it was right over me

Through me

Was uplifted briefly

In its carefree emotions

No cares, no worries, just peace

For the slightest moment in time

All was still and calm

A sense of new appreciation

Now lives within me.

Liberation

Breaking free from all burdens

All that has kept me

Shackled for so long

No longer a prisoner to anything

I sing my own song

Make my own rules

Do my own thing

The world is my oyster

In which to roam, skip and sing.

Please Peace Now

This world has become a turbulent place

Full of anger, destruction and hate

So much violence against one another

Humanity turning brother on brother

We need to compromise, to unite, to bond

So peace can be restored, humanity can stand strong.

Speak Up...

Don't be scared to voice your opinion

Go ahead, have your say

We all have something to contribute

We all have something to say

You are pure, you are unique

A soul that has been given a voice.
